Oh and one other point as you may or may not know the British F3 Championship is on the same package and according to there calander they are going to be at Donington on the 26 July supporting the FIA GT's. From what I understand the FIA GT's/ETCC are at Donnington on May 30th, does this mean another calander.........

Suprising that they have dropped Rockingham which seemed to have had the best crowd by far this year.Perhaps the 3rd best of any race meeting after British GP & Goodwood Revival?

I think someone must have it in for Rockingham!
How can any organiser (and I mean ANY organiser) not go back to the venue that gave the series its biggest crowd figure of the season? That's complete lunacy! What the calendar on here doesn't show is that the F3's will be on their own at times this year (as will the GT's) which might bring the whole package down for the crowds a little. Also, there are clashes with the LMESand FIA GT on the UK calendar, which might cause problems for some of the GT teams wanting to do both! So, it's not that good. And, finally, with just eight rounds with two one hour races on the timetabel next year, that's less race track time than this year. Even with a trip to Mondello, which is great, that's not great to drivers who want to bring budgets to a series. |

I honestly dont think this can be the final calendar..the TBA will hopefully be Rockingham...and I totally agree about people having it in for them, I think they don't like the snotty nosed upstart

Unfortunatley Snetterton is still early in the calendar! i think they should mix them around a bit, pretty poor turn out there this year because its so early!
Are the new regs introduced for 2004 or later? The man who is said to be taking over wants FIA GT spec cars in and smaller cars out (unfortunatley that includes the lovely little Golf) I long for the return of Lister Storm, Ultima GTR, TVR Speed 12. |
