Mike Jordan drove very well and was robbed of a podium in the first round. Add to that a 4th and 3rd and he had a great day.

Totally agree,
Mike Jordan definately gets my vote. I know Fabrizio won two races, and well done to him, but Mike was cruelly robbed of second place in race 1, on the last lap, by a puncture, a problem he also had in qualifying. Started a lot further back in race 2 and finished fourth, and was only prevented from going for the lead in race 3 by his worries of getting another blown tyre, and finished third. Then there was the five abreast into the chicane episode, which a long time thruxton marshal told me he'd never seen there, in touring cars. Who was brave enough to put his car in the middle, Mike Jordan. Well done Mike, hope for more of the same at Croft. |

Fabrizio for me - stuck a relatively heavy car on pole ahead of a ballast free Seat, took the first race comfortably and then the second with full ballast, then came through strongly from 10th on the grid in race 3, again with full ballast.
Mike Jordan's performance was also excellent though, I was gutted for him when he got dropped down the order in race 1. |

On that basis Plato deserves it equally. Full ballast and second in first race, last to 6th in race 2 and a win in race 3. In a car with lower top speed.

Fabrizio and Jason, big teams, new cars. Mike Jordan, small team, last year's Team Halfords Civic. Come on guys, give the man your vote!

All fair points, but for me Gio set it all up with his qualifying performance - and that's probably the biggest reason he got my vote. He did 5 quali laps and landed up on pole, reasonably well clear of his team mate by the way.
I won't argue with a Jordan vote though, like I said very impressive. PS - If I'm sounding like a major Vauxhall/Giovinardi fan, I'm not particularly. Personally I'm looking forward to the day I can vote one of the Dynamics boys DotD Or even (I can hope!) Rick Kerry! |

Mike Jordan richly deserved that podium - could well have had two.

OK, I know it's an Integra, but at least he gave Plato a run for his money in his Fiat. |

close between jordan and gio but gio's double win probably gives him the lead on this one. though jordan was unlucky from that puncture though he did get a point

Mike Jordan gets my vote. I've always been a fan of his, but was still very impressed on Sunday. Thruxton at the weekend was the first BTCC race that I've seen live, and I was amazed at how closely matched the top drivers were though, you don't realise the extent of their closeness on the TV - at one point, they were about 6 or 7 abreast on the way up wooden hill towards the chicane!
