Ralf vs Schumi
1. Talent wise do you think they are at the same level?
2. What makes the difference then? I think Ralf is just as good as Schumi. One of the few differences might be that Schumi is a little bit more agresive. Put them both in the same team and it will really be difficult to see who dominates who. The difference is that Ralf has not been as lucky as Schumi to find such a good rides since he joined F1. However Weber is trying to get Ralf a golden contract with Toyota, similar to the one that makes Schumi a legend in F1. |

Ralf moans, Michael shuts up and improves the car.
That's the difference. Last edited by ASCII Man; 8 Mar 2003 at 23:19. |

Michael has much more focus and also has the killer instinct needed to be champion. Ralf doesn't. Nothing to do with contracts.

Michael is the best there is, Ralf is painfully mediocre.
Any more questions? |

Ralf is not a bad driver at all. To stay in F1 for so long, when people like Massa and Burti come and go, and to stay in a top team like Williams means there are indeed some qualities about Ralf.
I have a feeling that Ralf doesn't quite like the new qualifying format, as it doesnt suit his style. Problem for Ralf is, good as he is, his brother is just magnificent. Michael is just so much more focused, committed, hardworking than Ralf.. Add this to a far greater natural ability, skills, experience, and fitness, not to mention ability to make things work, Ralf is simply not up to his level. But he doesn't have to worry, because if we take every factor into account, nobody is on Michael's level. So he ought to just get on with his work. |

So you are saying that Schumi is the king among mediocre drivers?
How much of a influence is the fact that Schumi has never measured himself against a resonably talented has on the percepcion that he is so good? |

Wonderful...you have a response to every post i make on different threads...i love such attention
Not as much influence as looking at the way Michael had raced for the past 10 year, how he had impressed in cars good and bad and how he had gotten things done in improving his car/motivating the team. You may have your own agenda, but if among the current crop of drivers you believe Michael is not the best all-rounder, i honestly think you ought to revoke your license to be a "doctor" |
