Australia International Raceway.
Here's my newest track, made by messing around with the curve tool. Started with the chicane at the bottom, then worked around from there. Inadvertently, it turns out, my layout looks like a kangaroo, haha. Lap runs clockwise.
T1 - "Tail In" - A 3rd gear right starts the lap, many passing opportunities are here. T1A - "Tail Out" - Taken in the top of 3rd, right hander. T2 - Left hander, 4th gear. "Back" Straight. T3 - Bottom of 4th gear left hander. T4 - "Ear" - 2nd gear, sloow, right hand hairpin. T5 - "Face" - Flat out. right hander, VERY fast. T6 - "Nose" - 2nd gear right hander, leads into the "infield" section. T7 - "Pouch" - Fast, 3rd/4th gear left hander, long, banked at 18 degrees. T8 - "Toe" - 2nd gear right, double apex corner. T9 - "Ball" - 3rd/4th gear right, slightly banked. T10/11 - "Heel" - 1st/2nd gear right left chicane. Includes two short variants, one with a link that takes out the "Tail" section, and, another that removes the "Pouch" section. I have no idea on length, haha. http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/108...ootrackjp7.png Comments/Criticism welcome! Thanks, Matt. Last edited by Matt; 16 Oct 2007 at 00:55. |

Looks like your link is broken.

Wow, really good. I like the subtle reference to a Kangaroo/Boomarang and whatever else... it's a good track all the same as well. I'm not sure about the circle in the lower right hand corner of the circuit, but the rest of it is great.

The corner shapes of the track make me think of the style of modern designs like Tilke's Shanghai. But this one's got a better flow to it because it has less hairpins. I like your single multiple-apex stadium section on the lower left of the diagram. The section from the chicane at the beginning of the s/f-straight up to the right-hander entering the stadium has got a wonderful flow.
