Virtual Racers Online
A thread just like this one, except for GPL only has existed in the past.
Since we're having a bit of a spring cleaning of all the really long threads, of which the GPL thread was one, we needed a new one, except this time it is open to any game, on any platform. So if you intend to be playing/driving your favorite game/sim tonight and want to know if there are any 'tenths people about, or you want to organise a quick race (which was one of the functions of the old thread) this is the place to do it. Happy racing everyone |

Myself and Yobro have been trying to get a lod of people to join an F1C race. Maybe 50% race distance at Silverstone or something?

Whats the chances of a friendly GPL race then? Is it looking promising? All that contact in the German GP has put me right in the mood for it!

Knocked 2 secs off of my zandvort time so that was handy. don't really like the track which is why I don't play it much and spent most of my time off the track or torpedoeing my fellow competitors.

I'm hoping to get on VROC for a bit opf practice some time this weekend. I missed a Bremser Mexico last night when I took a very quick look in, so I ran a few laps in an offline race instead. I've tweaked my A1 so the whole field runs to within about a second and a half of each other in qually and they provide a much sterner test in the race. I'm still way off the pace I used to be able to manage 2 years ago, but I'm beginning to feel more comfortable. I've also switched to the new RA273 which is lovely...... I'm still suffering from that oversteer though......

EOLC are doing a 1000km of Le Mans for GPL on Saturday.
I noticed Sarthe was on the racelist a lot yesterday, and I happened to join one of them and the guy there said he was going to be driving it. 4 hours in total, all on your own! I think they're all mad, but I just checked the EOLC website and was unable to find out much (for reasons obvious when you click on the link ) except that the qualification rounds are over already. If that wasn't the case I might have just turned up and done an hour or so of it... |

Hmm, finally-a non-GPL online thread
Though I must say I don't quite agree with all the "let's make a new thread" because what if there are 20 threads on a single topic a few years from now? *ahem* Anyhoo... I've got the full lineup of EA's NASCAR games for the PS/PS2.. including 04 and 05 which are online and will be getting 06 (also online) once it ships out in a few weeks. |

As for non-GPL online threads, well, if something attracts enough people, there's no problem with starting a dedicated thread. The thing is theat the GPL online community is particularly strong around here, and for my part, its the only thing I'm inclined to participate in online at the moment. |

I may just take a quick look in on VROC in a mo..... If there's nothing that grabs me there, I'll run a couple of offline races at Mexico....

Bremser goes in reverse aphabetical order some days, and forwards others, and seemingly randomly other times..
So it'll be either Mosport or Monaco next if its on one of the alphabetical order lists.... |
