Rising Star Award 2004

Team BRM driver, Karl Reindler, has today been announced as the joint winner of the 2004 AON/CAMS Rising Star Award.

Karl won the Western Australian state award and recently went to the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra to compete with all other state winners.

Team Owner, Bronte Rundle, said that Karl is an extremely deserving winner of the award as he has had to overcome his injuries from last year prior to going to Canberra. Twelve months ago we were teaching him to use a clutch in a racing car and since then he has displayed a wonderful talent that resulted in podium finishes last year, the F3 Association Rookie of the Year, pole for the Lady Wigram Trophy Race 1 and a 3rd place in his first visit to this event.

Karl will continue to improve this year and hopefully he will receive the financial backing he needs to continue his career overseas.

“Any sponsors wanting a long term investment through this young man will return a dividend” said Bronte Rundle.

Cool, CAMS insurers funding a CAMS award. Anyone else see something odd about that?
