Just new cars, not racing itself. Japanese sites have some decent digging into "hardware" of each GT3 for example. As for DPI they are "broadcasted" better and ranked so high just in comparison with LMP2.

WEC GTE-Pro would have been a "5" for me in 2018-2019 super season. But the withdraw of 2 manufacturers of Ford and BMW, knocked it down to 2 points in 2019-2020 to "3".

Totally OT, but here's something I've been wondering: Are you guys at all interested in sailing? I know it's not motorsports, but the technological arms races and loophole exploitation going on in the America's Cup and in some other classes are everything and more than what you guys are missing in racing right now! With IDEC, there's even a sportscar team involved at the top level. And the new (formerly Volvo) Ocean Race rules are an example of an event actually going back from spec to an open class.

I think sailing is a smaller closed club than horse racing for example. Tech info is not as simple to get as in case with car racing. Would be interesting to read though.

And, in fact, looks like a glimpse of the future for racing: existing but almost unknown.

Hmm, I did look into it a few years ago but thought following it would be incredibly hard? I mean But sounds interesting, especially the last line of yours, perhaps there is hope yet for some areas of sporting world?

Currently the only sport outside motorsports I do follow is the IBSF Skeleton World Cup, and with the things the way they are here right now in sportscars with bop and spec dominating, it is probably my favorite thing out there. And new season started today!

He does Skeleton and Bobsleigh WC but not Luge (except in the olympics) as that is organized by FIL, not IBSF

Unlike the previous weekend, this week he was not at Lake Placid due to conflict with Bahrain of course. I actually think his style of commentary suits sliding better than motorsports, especially as IBSF is comparatively small and closed circle so you get to know every athlete a little bit better

Considering level of technical details (absolute zero) in media, I'll replace my overoptimistic "bid" for IMSA.

IMSA WEATHERTECH SPORTSCAR CHAMPIONSHIP 2020
General:4 instead of 5 (just because of superb race tracks)
DPi:2 instead of 5 (no tech news, stagnation)
LMP2:1
GTLM:3 instead of 5 (few news from P'n'M, 10 years ago there would have been tons of tech articles everywhere, not now)
GTD:2 instead of 4 (comparing with Super GT, no news at all)
