Mid Ohio 2002...I got to attend the race and it was even better sitting on the grass watching Patrick Carpentier dominate the race!!! I had the best time that weekend!! Drank 4 bottles of wine with my sister and brother in law and passed out...best part..no hangover the next day!!

I liked Mid Ohio as well. Great track with plenty of undulations. Pity it appears to be out of favour these days.

I think Mid Ohio is a great track. Being there is just so exciting!! I have had fun every year I went. It's even better camping overnight and being able to walk around the paddock area after all the fans have gone home!! Lots of good memories there!!!

Rio 1998, Greg Moore takes a BIG win at a race that looked great on TV when I watched it later. What the TV audience didn't see was that the promoter had disappeared early the same week, so the infrastructure of the race was, ahem, a little lacking.
But the racing was GREAT! keke |

Moore's first win, Miwaukee 97, was also quite exciting.
Again, my memory fades, but he went something like 80-90 miles without a pitstop, and just barely managed to hold off MGF (and his fresher tires, higher fuel ratio) for the victory. |

During that race Moore lifted on the straights. While he was certainly conserving fuel it was not what you'd call a fuel run victory. If he had the luck of Zanardi he would have won easily 2X the races he did.

The Portland race that Gil de Ferran won in that Walker Racing car that had set a record for futility before that ... I was on holiday with my Aussie boyfriend and we turned the TV on to find that was already going and I drove poor Graham nutz by sitting down in front of it and cheering Gil on to his win. I have never seen anyone do a job I liked better in an open wheeled car.
Wonderful stuff. |

Fontana 2000 was a crazy race, it had everything!
But maybe the best has to be Michigan 2001... Or any race Greg was in. |

I Know it sounds weird but i have to say 1997 Vancouver, as Zanardi came from the back of the grid to the front 3 times in the second half of the race. There were about 10-12 accidents and 5-6 more engine problems And BIG MO's first win. But one hell of a race to watch as a spectator......
