Beany should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
HSCC Snetterton Historic Touring Car crash footage

Here's a NEW angle on the first corner mayhem...Two heavily damaged Anglias and a bent Mini...but thankfully everyone is O.K.

That Beetle goes really well

The first corner crash is like something from a NASCAR race!

Yep! but being a racer I could just do with another 10-15bhp....or maybe cut the pies!

Great footage. Some great lines too. The Beetle looks like real fun. Not giving away much in performance either. I know all the racers on here will tell me I'm talking rubbish as I don't race, but the one area for development, I reckon, is the brakes; if you can get them good enough to brake a bit later into the corners, then I reckon some of those that passed you would be struggling, but what do I know?

You know more than you think!...I've had braking problems all year. At Silverstone the pedal was virtually on the floor so I couldn't 'heal and toe'
Sorted the pedal for Snetterton but then had the problem of the front brakes locking up at the slightest touch (even with the bias set to maximum rear) which is why I was braking so early. I've fitted race pads this year but I think now the brakes are too good for the Historic tyres, so I may go back to softer 'fast road' pads which worked so well in the past...(before I was outbraking everyone)
