Canadian In '05 Dtm!!!

WHOAA!! I am slow, but I just discovered there is a Canadian racing in the '05 DTM!! Bruno Spengler!!!
Hopefully, with him racing in the DTM, it will help increase the profile of the DTM in Canada!!!

All to gain and nothing to lose in an '04 Merc. I heard he has been doing better than expected in testing.

still, come race time I expect the 05 Audi's and Merc's to be well ahead of him. Altho based on recent years performance he could well challenege the 05 Opel's!

After a year of struggling, Bruno is finally getting to reap some rewards. He managed a sixth in the last DTM race. Does anyone know if he will keep his seat in '06?

I was suprised, he has done rather well for himself these year i throught,
He may have a seat for next year, so long he doesnt repeat taking out teammates at the norisring.

Mercedes do like to rotate their drivers a bit, I'd think he and Green are clearly the two most at risk. Well, Alesi's cost to value may make him the most likely to leave.

I think Alesi will leave (or is forced to leave) Mercedes.

He always seemed to qualify well, but do poorly in the race. But to be fair, many on the list feel, that '04 cars really struggle during the race against the '05 spec cars? I guess in this day and age, it's really hard for a privateer to compete. Back in the early '90s (Class 2/ST), a 1 or 2 year (Indie) old car is still very competitive against the Works cars?

next year it should be easier for privateers as the ITR is freezing in the development of the cars in certain parts

So will there technically be '06 spec MB/Audis? It wouldn't be fair for the '05 Opel teams? If Bruno gets '05, I wonder will there be still teams running '04 cars?

I'm pretty sure there will bie 06 cars, but they will have to have for example the same roll cage and same aerodynamics than the 05 cars
