Will Dunlop Motorsport Strike Impact on BTCC

My tyre supplier informs me that the Dunlop motorsport tyre factory has been on strike for 3 weeks now. Does anyone think it will have an impact on the supply of tyres for BTCC? Surely 3 weeks is quite a bit of production to lose?

I wasn't thinking that, but could it mean that certain compounds wouldn't be available etc?

There has been industrial action at one of our plants, Fort Dunlop in Birmingham.

During this time, a limited number of tyres have been made to supplement the stock that we hold for key contracted championships. We have held stock of the BTCC spec tyre to cover a number of future race events.

It is hoped that the dispute will end tonight following the latest negotiations.

So will it affect Clubman racers or trackday users?

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Is the strike still on? Seems to have all gone quiet from Driversknow?

I have heard the strike is indeed still on and some Radical drivers are now having issues getting tyres for trackdays.

I presume they can carry on making tyres for BTCC etc. with limited resources but trackday drivers might find it tricky.
