Ebay's Canon Outlet....
Probably a daft question, but I assume that the Canon Outlet on ebay is actually Canon UK flogging off refurbed gear?
For those who haven't seen; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Canon-Outlet Just asking as I was looking to pic up a cheap 350D |

It's not Canon direct but a company called Digital River (you can google them) who are sold old stock and returns by Canon and its retailers.
They are authorised canon retailers and you get the same warrenty as is you brought on the high street. I brought a 300D last year from them when it arrived it was brand new and, I guess because the 350D is the current model it had gone back to canon as unsold. Some are returns because of faults, or damaged boxes etc. A friend got an point and shoot with an Argos label on it saying it was returned as faulty, but it has worked great since he got it. others are sold as 'Jessops packs' If you intend to bid for one, pick one without a bid on it and bid the price that the most recent ones sold for. Then to out bid you someone would have to beat you by at least £5 and I found other bidders left it alone. Good luck |

A friend bought a P&S from them which has worked OK but cosmetically wasn't perfect, so there is some variation. |
