Dunlop Alternative (Avon?)
Hi all,
I own and plan to race this year, (upgrade from trackdays) a Rover 220 Tomcat, an original Dunlop Rover Turbo Cup Car. I aquired the car from its retirement from the Super Coupe Cup, and now want to do the LMA along with a few other Tomcats. However the car has always run on Dunlop Slicks, in the original Dunlop Cup and then Dunlop sponsored Super Coupe Cup. These are 16" 210/605R16 A8D A8W Now the set I have need replacing and Dunlop want £150 a corner, which is really too steep for my budget. I'd be happy to sacrafice some grip, in the quest of a cheaper tyre, so anyone recomend anything, comparative? I've looked at Avon 205/610R16 A11 Slick, as these are much cheaper, but not sure if they are comparative? Cheers in advance Dave |
