As it's on the full GP circuit this year (as opposed to the shorter International one as in '05) I'd suggest a gentle 2-3 hour amble around the full perimeter. That way you get to see all the cars at all parts of the track, get to appreciate the flat-out speed down Hangar, the wonderful sweeps of Becketts and the fiddly slow speed stadium section around Luffield. Make sure you walk anti-clockwise or else you'll always have the cars approaching you from behind!
As for the paddock, I'm not sure but I thought it was closed last year and open for the LMES race. But I could be wrong... |

I'm not sure if they are offering public camping for this. Usually they only offer public camping for the LMES. I'd suggest contacting the ciruit.

There was an advert for the meeting on the back of this weeks motorsport news and it said nothing about camping. Thats why I am in a travel lodge in Northampton and it is only £26 !!!

I'm sure I saw tents there last year though. But yeah, there's no specific 'camping' mention on the Silverstone site either. |

There will have been tents up but they would have been marshals ones not public ones. Marshals are entitled to camp there. As I say your best to contact the circuit with regard to camping but they don't usually allow it.
