Six-time US Superbike champion Mat Mladin has been testing his Suzuki Superbike at Eastern Creek in Australian for the past two days. Although the test is closed, the news blowing out of Australia is two-fold.

One, Mladin, who hasn't ridden in months as he re-habs his body from an off-season operation, quickly dispensed with the standing Superbike lap record at Eastern Creek. By something more than one and a half seconds.

Which is to say, that the current Autralian SBK lap record was ~ about the MotoGP lap record from 95. The other thing two, is that the Australian Superbike specs are meant to be about US Superstock.


But it's cool none the less.
