Advice on Spa self drive please
After attending a few times on organised trips, this year we are heading to the Belgium GP under our own steam. Got everything sorted out re. tickets etc, but read somewhere it can be a nightmare parking - ie. unorganised, locals cashing in etc. We will be arriving Thursay and nipping back and forward to a hotel in Holland. Anybody managed to strike deals with locals etc? Any hints and tips would be appreaciated.
I know it's a bit away, but all the launch news has got me a bit excited... |

Hi
I went to Spa in 2001, we did it all ourself too. staying in a hotel at Namur. Yes - the parking IS a nightmare - there are official car parks and I would advise getting to the circuit before it opens (5am or 6am) I think. The traffic getting out was pretty hardcore and unorganised too - perhaps this could change for this years race Billyblister, A few people I know all went to spa camping in 01 and 02 aswell I think... you can ask them for advice - they usually post on www.f1-network.net/forums |
