Road America has a Title Sponsor
This is good, particularly for this terrific track that has difficulty being financially viable for the series: http://milwaukee.bizjournals.com/mil...2/daily32.html

I guess now that Bridgestone and Ford are gone, it will just be Champ car grand prix? Anyway always good news when a title sponsor comes a long. Just like the; Las Vegas Grand Prix fuled by Visa.'

Champcar has fans in the right places....but Ford should have stuck with it, Roush and Yates will fight Toyota on their own, keep some cash in Champcar and don't pay 20million dollar bonuses to the execs of ford- who aren' t doing it right...
Thank goodness Road AMerica has friends |

No Offense, but Generac has been sponsoring the ALMS race at Road America for the past two seasons.
Champ Car might get a little cash out of it, but this merely made sense since Generac signage will be everywhere already, the tickets will have Generac's name on them already, etc. Not really a big score for CC, since the sponsorship for that race weekend was already in place. |

While I'm sure title sponsorship for low attendance CC events is not overly expensive, promoters won't give it away for free. I'm sure the Generac signs would remain up even if they did not sponsor the CC portion of the weekend. The important thing is that title sponsorship helps make races more financially viable and raises the probabilty that the series can actually bring in some revenue from a promoter. For all of us who feel that CC would be a lesser series without RA, this is good news.
