I don't know if other people have a different source to watch all of their favorite races, but I don't and this is killing me. KILLING ME!

Yeh this is gutting I suspect it's probably quite serious. Let's face it, it usually is.

I have absolutely no sympathy. Once you start up an invite-only site like this where people have to fight over invites to get access its easy to see why someone would decide to report it to the relevant people (it wasn't me btw).

It's just a bit gutting, really.
You can't help but feel much of this could be avoided if FOM pulled their finger out and had a subscription based site with the archives available to everyone. Admittedly, this would of course only be for Formula One, but still, i'm guessing the majority of the traffic is F1 related on racing-underground. Selby |

It's technical issues.
Most things can be found with google if you are specific with your search. |

Gotta be honest
All I ever got fomr this was a shed load of spam ad downloads that didnt work, along with a few that did. Only ever lasted a few days with it, and as I cant and wont keep my PC on all day its a waste of time really. |

An outage of this duration is almost certainly not due to technical problems. Sad but true.
There are a million ways, some much more legit than others, of watching F1. What is really crappy is that there really aren't a million ways to watch much more obscure things, particularly for us North Americans. It's not like they're showing ADAC GT Masters on cable over here... Have no idea where the hate for RU comes from though, it was an exceedingly functional site. There is no official response as far as I can tell. It is, much like you yourself, just people saying "I heard..." I'm not saying you're wrong! |

It would be a great shame if RU has been yanked off, It has been a great resource for hard core enthusiasts to share their love of the sport and many obscure and hard to find videos with each other. I fail to see how any rights holder can legitimately mount a case that a service like RU is costing them any money at all. For many of us RU was the only way of seeing many of these series or classic races. Does anybody really believe that the relatively tiny handful of RU downloaders would pay stupid amounts of money to see events as obscure as Club Racing in Ireland or even German F3.
I am saying this as a TV producer and if anyone wanted my show on RU I'm more than happy for them to have it. After all if a TV production is watched by no one has it really existed at all. Good luck to all at RU and thanks for your great service over the years. |

I think you fail then to grab the basics of p2p file sharing and also the times of day you should and should not seed/ download to obtain maximum speeds.
Also there is no spam or other rubbish to it, all of the captures were good quality and of a high standard becuase of and the reason for private membership. |

Just my experience, loads of poor quality stuff, but then my tastes are not usual, old VHS rips etc.
I don't particularly agree with it to be honest and dont profess to be able top understand half of the tech stuff involved, dont really have the time or the inclination. Went into it a few years ago and never went back, leaves me cold really. Each to their own, I would rather watch things live now. |

It should be there soon. I was logging on last night, although it was as slow as anything, with some time-outs happening. Not terribly surprising seeing as they only sent the emails out yesterday.

suggest this entire topic is returned to "fight club" status to preserve something we all appear to rely on...

Great news that they are up and running again. There will probably be a few bugs to iron out, however you don't realize how much you missed it till it was gone.
