where ever I lay my hat that's my home
where will JV drive next year auto action reports that MAC is a poss if MH retires (I think he will) but they also say that JAG is also talking to him . I hope that he will drive for MAC so it would make next year a fight from hell with MS in the red horse and Ralf in the BMW then DC & JV in the MERC's what a year that would be

It does sound tempting, but he has already denied that he will move from BAR

I get the feeling he won't be moving anywhere.

Autosprout says today that Villeneuve is in talks with Jaguar about racing for them in 2003 - if BAR doesn't start winning races. At the rate they are going, it looks like 2002 will be JV's last season there...

I found the story quite interesting, as I think most of us had not connected JV with Jaguar. The more I think about it, the more the idea appeals. Ford has made the commitment, and has the resources, to be successful, and they are getting better, as their cars have improved noticeably this year. Another year of development before he joins them would work out fine. I think that he and Niki would get on just fine.
Now he must go back to Honda, and find out what they plan to do in 2003, if things are remaining the same next year. Unless they are planning greater control of BAR, I don't see a great improvment, unless they find a chassis. Maybe they could buy a used F2001 from Ferrari for next year I realize that they go back a long way, but I also think it is time for Jacques to cut a couple of the strings that tie him to Craig Pollock. It has hurt his career, I feel. |

It looks as if Jacques would take Craig to any new team Jacques drive for.
