Le Mans Racing magazine in English?
Does anyone know if there are future plans to release an English version of the magazine? If I recall correcty one of the DSC guys said they [LM racing] were looking what the possibilities are. Now since the English market is way bigger... this should not be too difficult right?
Anyone? |

I Hope they Do. Better than a couple of pages in Autosport.

Exactly. Hopefully then people will get what they actually want - a specialist Sportscar magazine and not a motorsport magazine.

I received my first free issue of 'Le Mans Racing' (in French) as part of the DSC subscribers' deal. The covering letter said something along the lines of: "this is the first of three freebies in French, we hope to start an English version but only if we get enough subscribers. Subscription details will be sent with issue 3".
The problem I have is that as much as I'd love there to be a sportscar/gt racing mag available, DSC provides all the reports, pictures, news that I need, so I doubt LMR mag would tell me anything new. |

The latest issue arrived on the doormat this morning, I subscribed a few days before the DSC offer (typical timing). I'm more than happy to have a print magazine and website myself. Call me oldfashioned but I still like a print version, especially one of the quality of Le Mans Racing, they certainly covered the 1000K at Silverstone in more depth than Autosport and even had a picture of the TracSport car (whos driving Rick?) in their Nurgurgring report. DSC and Le Mans Racing between them give me most of what I need, from a Sportscar perspecive.

I have now recived 2 copies, the 2nd one arrived yesterday, so I havn't read it yet or should that be tried to read it as my french is basic to say the least. But overall it is fine publication and yes I think there is a market for a mag like that in the UK.

I received my first one today...I liked it...I could offer comments about what else should be in but I wont, for now
There are definite plans for an English copy. The accompanying letter with the magazine talks of "with our last sending we will send you a proposition of subscription for this english version" I don't think DSC provide all the reports and pictures though they certainly do the race reports in the back of the magazine. I'll stump up as you dont always want to be reading off a screen..sometimes a comfy chair roaring fire and glass of malt need to accompany the read..you know, the old fashioned way And as Fab suggests it's a support thing. |

Also, I would like to enjoy the pictures on glossy paper rather then on a computer monitor and need to spend less time behind a screen! Anyone who has got more news on this please keep us updated! |
