Wow
In the 2000 race at Snetterton, they started the feature race with the British flag. That's awesome, they should do that more often. Does anybody know why they started it with the flag?

The Union Jack is used when the starting lights have failed or if there is a second class of car starting from the same grid (production car).

Star is right, it rained so hard that the water buggered up the electronics in the starting lights! Bearing in mind this was a night race (IIRC it started somewhere between midnight and 1am ?) then using a flag to start the race had some problems!

Oh cool, okay, thanks. It reminds me of the Grand Prix Legends computer game, as back in the 60s almost all races were started with the their country's flag.
