formula1fan's street circuits
Okay, I got the idea off lots of others, but I am now starting my own series of street circuits. And here we go!

Street circuits in residential areas of the UK, never mind London would never be allowed.
I know it's supposed to be a fantasy circuit, but there has to be an element of "it could happen", and this simply couldn't |

Which is a shame, as it isn't too far away from me!
Here's one that definitely would never happen; The M25 as an F1 circuit! |

Yeah, the M25's about 130miles (approx. 275km) long (note that they are only estimates!), so you would only get about 1 lap in!

Yeah, that crossed my mind, it'd still be interesting seeing them try to get through the j 25 roadworks at rush hour.
(i didn't say anything about shutting the motorway) |

Dude, your tracks are long! That back straight will be bumpy, and dangerous i'm assuming, mental, good fun though! Which direction is the track? |

I live along one of the roads that the track goes along. It looks fun but would be completly impossible as you have included one of the busiest roads in the country as part of your track. The Aston Expressway to Paradise Circus (30 seconds walk from my door) is permanently conjested during rush hour & closing it would cause Birmingham to grind to a halt. Also the section of the Expressway that you have used includes a very tight tunnel under the St Chads Circus. There is a very sharp kink in this tunnel that is dangerous enough for road cars, let alone for racers.
As a fantasy though it is very good. |

#3: Manchester
@Alwaysfirst: Thanks for the comment. I am staying tight-lipped about what will come up later in the series, but there will be tracks at airports across the world.
Next is a race in Manchester, which is a little bit shorter than the other ones. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=538745. |

I'm not familiar with Manchester at all, but the satellite images give a great impression of what's possible and what's not. So I had a go at the Mancester street circuit. It's just over 6 km or 3.7 mi long. It runs clockwise with pits and paddock on the far north straight.
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=546391 Perhaps there should be an other chicane in the long straight running northbound, from the bridge to the roundabout. |

And here's a variant. I left out the South loop so it's a bit shorter: 4.5 km or 2.8 mi.

#4: Blackpool
@Lustigson: Well done. Great track.
Next in the series is Blackpool, in the North-West of England. The track runs along the Promenade, which in winter is lit up by the Blackpool Illuminations. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=538751 |

Great circuit, again, it would be deemed as too dangerous these days, but i just say they are challenging, especially along that back straight... that isn't actually straight!

I just find your Blackpool one a bit too long. This is what I'd do there. It's quite similar to one I did a little while ago: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=547223
It's shorter at 5.36 km and has several overtaking oppertunities. |

I like that too, seems like there are some good roads which happen to make good racetracks!

An alternative to that last one. Same area, but totally different. And two fly-overs.
