VE V8 Supercar
I have just been having a good look at the VE and with the roof line and boot height of the new car, will we be seeing aero parity issues raise their ugly head again. From what i see the height of the rear wing for the VE would have to be lower than what it is on the VZ because if it was the current height it would be a lot more efficient as far as downforce goes.

If i'm not mistaken Pete, the rear wing rules where changed from using a template that sat on the boot too a fairer system that specified the
height of the wing in relation to the roof height, hence the ELII aero package receiving a higher rear wing? |

I was looking at it from the angle of the roof behind the front door. You may well be right and if that is the case the VE rear wing may have to be lower than it currently is on the VZ.

They will just need to adapt a BA kit, cause they look so much like the BA Falcon in my opinion.

I prefer the 380
The aero question will be a large problem... not long to go now till season 2007, where HRT, HSVDT, PWR will likely appear with 2 cars, with Perkins, PMM, GRM appearing with at least one, from the opening round Remember the rubbish that went on at the VS to VT changeover, and indeed the VX to VY one... with some factory supported teams keeping older model cars in the series until the very end.... and they were forced to change.... A VZ will still be a very competitive car in 2007... I wonder where the HRT & HSVDT chassis will end up? |

The VE has a BA-like bulky front end I think so would that mean it will probably will require a giant front lip like the BA front spoiler? Would that make the VE more difficult to manage and thus regain some parity in that case?

Lets hope the racecar looks better than the road car. Looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
At least if you damage your BA/F boot or tailights you'll be able to pick up spares at your local Holden dealer Or if you damage the front of your Caprice, Mazda 6 parts should do the trick. |
