At Sears Point they had 5 LMP01 at the track. And there might have been a spare tub in the trailor.
Here's the link for the GT1 car. I don't know how many he has left that he hasn't cut the roof already. http://www.classicscars.com/chassis/...ssisPanoz.html |

Are you sure about there being 5 at Sears Point? When Gunner wrecked a car why wouldn't they have pulled out one of the other instead of withdrawing? I remember seeing just the 3 LMP1s and the 2 LMP07s.

Yup, the three that were supposed race, but Gunnar crashed one. There was one in the paddock that was hooked up to Pabst racing services video game, that was in front of Huffaker's shop. And on friday there was one siting on the other side of the Drag Strip, by the old control tower.

I saw the video game one and assumed it was the one that was in the vendor area from Friday. I didn't get close enough to look and thought it was probably just a body mock-up for display. It's hard to tell how many were made as some of the GT1s became LMP1s over the years. From reports it appears Boris Said wrote one off testing, We know of the 2 team cars (plus another tub used by the team), the Wayne Jackson/Gunnar car and probably the show cars.
The show car LMP07 at Laguna didn't appear to be anything more than just a body on a tube frame. Bob |
