Doesn't Morris have one of Rossi's ex-crew working high up in his team now though? Either would be impressively high-profile enough....

I didnt try to start any rumour. Pure facts with me baby!!
Mickey the Schu + Corinna were reported to be staying at the Sirromet Winery in Mt Cotton last week. I wrote that here and got picked on for mentioning it. When Mickey retires after winning the Italian GP, he can slot into the lead Sirromet Commodore with 'Beam Me Up' Doohan. Remember where you read this first! |

Yes I'm sure he'd much prefer driving a taxi for the weekend rather then a little thing called the Japanese Grand Prix

VD's on a roll here.
First Jim Richards is retiring, now Michael Schumacher. Who's next? Beasley and Howard? |

Is there a MotoGP race on?
If not for sure to have Rossi along would be cool, Rossi has already been happy to drive in plently of one-off lower profile car events is that right? |

Mick still has a close relationship with Mercedes Benz. I was kinda thinking Mika Hakkinen could be a possibility. He's been in the DTM for a couple of seasons so is no stranger to tin tops.

VD..the white powder makes you imagine things...what about Schuey and his Audi F1 team? Surely thats more important to him than V8SC.
There are, actually, personal contacts with MS here in AUS and from what I believe...he said...Mt. Pana.. what? |

C'mon guys...
There is some grounding in fact of what has been said in Auto Action... indeed there is a picture in their illustrious publication that shows Mr Schumacher, Mr Doohan and Mr Morris Sr at the Sirromet winery complex... ... where is it said the multi time champions took a full tour of the winery and the bottling facilities during the stay with Mr Doohan, for his wedding. Mr Schumacher is reported to own his own vineyard in France, so presumably it was a common interest for him to see how things were done on this side of the world... So the picture is accurate and immutable... does it fit the rest of the story? I am not sure.. there is a driver naming announcement at Norwell on Saturday.. so lets see. Meantime, lets look at the last time Mr Doohan drove a PMM Commodore |

Just six months till Bathurst. Mick better hurry up and get a level 3 CAMS licence, then do five events, get it upgraded to level 4 and do five more events and get it upgraded to level 5.

Awwwwwww...... The boys at Australian Motorcycle News will be unhappy that their April Fool's joke has been exposed so early in the day
Mr Wootton will have to think of another use for Mr Doohan next season I would have presumed Mr Gurr would have been Mr Doohan's codriver had this thing actually come off, as he is a contracted Sirromet/PMM driver, running in the main series.... If Mr Doohan did want to race in the V8s I am sure there are quite a few people that might be interested in helping out |

Just a side thought, if race v8supertaxi at Bathurst, do have to have a super license to race at Bathurst, and if so then when did Mr Doohan get his as he has not raced a supertaxi. Just a Thought.
P.S. I'd love to see mighty MICK race at the mount. In a FORD thou. |

Its not a superlicence, but a C5 (I thought this had changed names?) which means basically Mr Doohan would have to have an observed licence test, do 9 race meetings without incident, and presuming all is sweet with the officialdom, would have the right licence to race at Bathurst.
How about a Doohan/Beattie Sirromet Commodore for 2007? |
