Jobs
Actually I wanted to post this thread in parc ferme but as I have only some 35 posts I couldn't. But anyways I think this forum is maybe even more appropriate for the question.
The question is obviously what job are you doing? Racing is expensive sport and requires quite a little money. I'm on my last year of high school and in a little more than 6 months time I'm finished off with it and should know what I do next. And as I would like to(no, I WANT TO) race then it would be good to have a job that pays off nicely |

Although I always wanted to, I could not afford it until the family had grown up and stood on their own feet. Which is why I was well the wrong side of 50 before I started... worth waiting for though!

Something that involves selling, where you get a commission might be good.
Seems to me most privateers are self-employed. They have a business that allows them to set their own hours and also they get all the profits! Have you thought about doing an apprenticeship and being a tradesman? Plumbers and electricians get a lot of money here in Australia - maybe that's a way to look. However - you'll spend a lot more time at work than racing. Make sure it's something you can live with. Kramer |

Study law, become a lawyer, run your own business, earn lots and lots of money. Go racing....(if you have the time!!)
Rob. (not a lawyer, but they seem to earn just a little bit more than me!) |

If IT/computer jobs pay well over there, then I would say do something like that. In some countries there's a shortage of computer skills, so some companies pay very well. Over here at the moment, the market is saturated, so if you're in the UK, don't go into IT

I'm in Estonia, but I think I'll go somewhere else to work. An electrician gets more money too than Estonian president...

If you can, do it before kids come along. I had a great time in my 20's and even met my wife at a race track! Unfortunately my kids education and the mortgage took over, so I had to stop, but am hoping to get back again soon. I went abroad to earn the money to go racing. I was lucky as I found a good job. good luck, I hope it works out for you.
