Hi
I am the poster of those polls and Craig I know is working hard away at the software needed for it to run. When that is completed, they will be available under goodies in the flash menu at the top of the page. |

I think we are discriminating over these polls.
I think we should open up the issue to all Europeans. And everyone else for that matter. What have the polls done to deserve this special treatment? I think we should be told. |

If everyone would like me to open a special forum for a weekly poll to be posted then I will be more than happy to. However at this time I am still looking for the best way to return the polls to the front page of the site with the new software...

Just a suggestion, but how about posting the weekly polls as a "hot topic" in the relevant forum? If it's an F1 poll post it in the F1 forum, if one week it's about Le Mans, post in the Sportscar forum, etc.
It will most probably get more attention that way too, and with it being a hot topic it will still be easy to find. Last edited by R; 6 Apr 2002 at 17:33. |

We did think of that, but the only sensible way we can think of to include them on our homepage once the software is written is to post them in their own forum.
If you want a poll in the F1 forum, or the sportscar forum, feel free to start one... but if we're trying to get a weekly site-wide poll back up and running they need a way to be clearly identifiable. |

Hmm, interesting idea about the polls in their appropriate forum, but that way we'd need an awful lot of asking mods to stick then unstick it, then move them all to a forum so as to provide an 'archive' of all old polls etc etc.
Craig, I'd still be happy to continue on with this btw, and about bringing the poll to the front page of the site, couldn't you approach that in a similar way to the "Active Topics", ie just single out that forum ? |
