Eh... Who cares if he pushed or punched somebody who was bothing him after a race? It didn't seem to bother the photographer all that much. He said there was no problem. Nor did it bother Joe Gibbs, his boss.
In fact, the only people it did seem to bother are the inconsistant rule enforcers of NASCAR, who've fined him $10,000.00 and placed him on probation again. Jimmy Spencer wrecked Kurt Busch intentionally, again, and NA$CAR doesn't even see fit to talk to him until next week. But they were all over Tony Stewart for wanting to be left alone. I don't care who you are, or how big of a name you have. If you want to be left alone, the media should respect that. You'd think the media would have learned something when Princess Diana was killed trying to get away from reporters. But I guess some things never change. Photographers and reporters always push too hard, and NASCAR consistantly makes bad decisions. |

Well let me ask a question. When you have been angered by an idiot- Do you aim for the idiots CHEST??? I have never seen a guy throw a punch to another guys chest- They aim for the face. Area of insult. A hit to the chest makes me think it was more of a "get the he!! out of my face" SHOVE.

Yeah- Roseman has that **** on all the time. Sure it can wear a body down--- but in anger, I KNOW that it's the face they go for. This was a shove- Which is still wrong.
But it just can't be racing without Tony getting into trouble. Only makes me like him more! |

Heck yeah... I was so proud of him for that, and walking out in front of Jimmy Spencer going "Hit me! Hit me!" too, that I was gonna call Indy and buy him a donut, but then I remembered Jimmy Spencer probably done et all the donuts in the whole state.

Seems to Me that given His 3 incident within a couple of years called 4 a stiffer fine,ca. $20,000.,along with probation and if practical 4 this offense perhaps 25 driver points taken away,JMO!

All I have to say is.....
Good God- Let the man go pee & have a drink of water to rehydrate BEFORE you chase him & shove a camera in his face! Is that too much to ask? |

Moi? Sarcastic? Never! (Or is it Always?)
But did you hear what they said on TV about Home Depot fining Tony Stewart $50,000.00 and putting him on probation with them for the rest of the season? I don't think any sponsor has ever done that before. Too bad they didn't do it for something serious. The guy he pushed said there was no problem, so why are NASCAR and Home Depot making it into one? Seems to me they have a problem that has abosolutely nothing to do with Stewart. I call it "Headupass Syndrome"... |

I really don't think that it's Home Depot OR NASCAR that is making this incident into a huge affair. It's the Indianapolis STAR- They are the ones that have hushed Mook & have contacted NASCAR & Home Depot making this into a huge deal. They are certainly enjoying all the publicity that all the fuss they cause is doing. It's BS- It wouldn't surprise me if they told Mook to intentionally harrass Tony.
Well all I have to say is that Tony certainly PUNCHED 43 drivers out of the way today. Way to go TONY baby! |

Amazing what a difference seven days makes - the key number here is 104, the number of points TS is out of the points lead after the Glen. If this incident actually keeps him focused and controlled, it may indirectly give him an advantage in the stretch drive...

Tony drove a smart race today. I believe that he now certainly has a shot at the championship.

I wonder if he was harrassed by somebody from the STAR before he could chill a bit??????? You know me- I won't let a sleeping dog lie. KICK KICK |
