Excellent stuff I know all about the trouble that goes into the setting up of even the most basic of forums, so well done to all involved!
Thought I should point out a couple of minor niggles that won't be difficult to fix though. Firstly the time seems to be set an hour fast from GMT (unless I can select my own time zone from the settings which I've yet to look at), and some of the images in the first column (evvelopes, light bulbs) are distorted. Otherwise no problems. |

You can set your own time zone by going to 'My Forum' and then clicking 'Edit Options' - there was a change in the way the forum handles the timezone which seems to have altered the timezone which some users are listed as being in... Updating your options page will rectify this though.
As for the icons on the front page, we have a new set of icons which are slightly larger. It seems your browser has cached the old images and is trying to stretch those to fit the new width and height attributes. You'll need to refresh your browser to view the new ones. |

These new features are great - "the best just got better", I'll second that.
I have one wish though. It's not a major thing, but I kind of liked that the page numbers on multi-page topics were at the bottom of the pages as well. That way it's easier to see if there are more pages, especially when you click through an email notification, which takes you to the first unread post (that's also a great improvement). Any chance of the page numbers returning to the bottom of the pages? |

Thanks, Craig!
I thought the light bulbs looked funny, but I didn't feel like mentioning it! I guess mine are distorted too! Last edited by R; 3 Mar 2001 at 20:57. |

My yellow light bulbs are thin. I have cleared out my cache but no change. Anyone got any advice for an IE user? Is there something I have missed?

That's strange! Mine are OK now after I refreshed, and I also have IE (5).

Curiouser and curiouser.
My white lightbulbs were thin and elongated last night when the forum first came on stream, but they righted themselves overnight. They're fine now. And this new format is just superb. Top marks to everyone concerned. |

Everything fine with me. Took a little bit of exploring to find my way around but now all is well.
Only problem is the clock, according to my watch the time now is 23:27 UK 23:27 GMT. the last post I done in F1 was timed at 00:17, 10 minutes ago in my life but a vat full of beer in real time. Is this is a hint to get me up the pub a whole hour early ?????? SL |

No, no, it's a trick to have us up all night, because there's an F1 race on the other side of the globe, and how on earth are we supposed to know what time it starts European time??!?
I had the same problem, I was set to Russian time or something. Go to "My forum", choose "Edit options", scroll down and you'll find the part where you can set the time. |

Refresh will only re-draw the page, often using what's already in the cache. If you hold down CTRL and click on Refresh MSIE should ignore any cached images and re-download everything on the page. Think SHIFT + Refresh does the same for Netscape.
If that doesn't work then FORMAT C: from a DOS prompt should fix it |

Redshoes, that has made all my light bulbs look the same now. Unfortunately, it has made them all look thin instead of the rounded little fella's they should be. Thanks to you has officially been withdrawn!
