New Driver for team B&Q at Knockhill

Hi Everyone....well it's true...we have an exciting new talent in the team for the Knockhill rounds of the championship, those of you who followed Fiesta's last year will already know her. Joanna Clarke will be driving my car at the Knockhill rounds and will be car number 53. I just know that you will all give her the usual B&Qsi support!! You may see her again during the course of the year we will see. I just need a weekend to look at the team and how we are performing both on and off the track, it's hard work being an owner/driver! I am also interested in how the team will look in 2002 and Joanna is certainly one of the few drivers that I am interested in looking at as being part of our team next year. So don't forget....give her the usual cheer. All other things will be as normal, come and say hi, look round the cars etc...but remember, I'm not driving.....so I can have a drink!!..watch out!

Well she is no 6foot leggy blonde. Can't remember the hair colour but her team was five foot three racing for obvious reasons!!

So has she been in the car yet????

Hi, You're right Les she is 5'3 hence she will be in car 53...quite good that I thought! No she hasn't had a chance to test the car yet and I'm sure that won't help but we do need to give her the opportunity because, for various reasons.......that I can't go into just yet........ we will need a few drivers in 2002! and I think Joanna has the ability to be one of them along with Nick and....possibly a couple of others!

Does that hint at a BTCT Astra(s) for Team B&Q for 2002, John? (Or Pug for that matter)

Excellent news.

Having watched Joanna race in fiesta's, and seen her arround the paddock this year - I am sure she will not let you down John. I wish Joanna well and I hope she enjoyes both the opportunity and experience!

Go Joanna Go

Not something to do with a message I'm to pass on??????

If I remember right she was with Colin Stancombe's lot for a while but ran out of sponsorship? Fill us in please mate and how many other old Fiesta cronies are going to appear out of the woodwork??

D'uh, I've just remembered - it was last seen on a campsite at Donington, complete with porch, windows AND B&Q flag...

I was very impressed with her at Knockhill last year in the Fiestas. Took a couple of 4th places if i'm not mistaken. Also, isn't she the ex of my driver which could make lapping interesting.

Blimey... is this the much vaunted 'new image' promised for Knockhill... almost enough to make me fly up after all...!!

Good luck to Joanna... one thing though - is she still with Phil ? Could be interesting...!!

B&Q HOSPITALITY TENT ON TOUR 2001 UPDATE
there's room in the porch at silverstone this weekend, but i think it might be the official minardi hospitality tent... after that, craig takes rent per weekend - one cold tall one per few days, i believe...

hurrah for joanna! the only series with more women i think is the womens gt championship, so we're doing rather well
