Ferrari Enzo - Yay or Nay??
Yay. One of the most beautiful production cars ever built at any time ever. I've seen one in the flesh at the motorshow and I didn't move for a good half hour. Everything about it screams "right!!". And yet most of the press, about it's shape at least, has been negative to luke-warm at best. Now, Pininfarina say that almost no concessions were made to "looks" in the design, it was all about dowforce. Indeed, this thing creates the most downforce of any production car in history, avoiding the need for a rear wing.
Oh I think it's just WONDERFUL. Everything about it. I'm not a huge fan of the 360, but this.... one day I'm having one. ...of its babies. Agree?? |

before opening this topic i was going for fart.
then i clapped eyes on the beast on track picture tristan so kindly posted. it was art. then the rest and it's fart again. it's not quite ugly tree, but it's nearly there. if it didn't look so beautiful on the track... i await it's arrival in the ferrari garage just down the road from me (yes, there is a ferrari/maserait garage in loughborough. why?) so i can drool. there's a barchetta thing in there at the moment for £120,000. |

sorry but i dont like it, its a total freak.
(i saw the one at the motorshow too) the only thing good about it is the engine and the Ferrari badge, IMO. The front looks similar to a fiat coupe, and someone did the F1 style front splitter ages ago on a new Toyota Celica. give me a 360 anyday over that |

here is the Toyota Celica I mentioned.
It was commissioned by Toyota (TRD), has 500 bhp and costs £500,000 |

Hnag on, would just like to say that initially I thought the nose was like the Celica's, but having SEEN it, it's utterly different. See the tip of the nose. That's raised in the air, like an F1 car. The bit joining to two vents at the front is A FRONT WING!!! The actual nose, therefore, is straight off an F1 car with the two sidepods pushed forward right up alongside (ie in front of the wheels). Get what I mean??

i dont think parts were used off a race car.
.... The Ultimate Celica’s distinctive look was created at Calty, Toyota’s U.S. design center in Newport Beach, Calif. “When Calty styled the 2000 Celica production vehicle, we used Champ Car design influences,” said Dave Hackett, Calty executive director. “We simply took the theme a step further for the Ultimate Celica by designing a box-shaped rear wing and a unique front fascia that mimics a formula car-styled nose and front suspension.” |

"i dont think parts were used off a race car"
Well.... NO!! But still. The front end is MODELLED around that of an F1 car. WAY more extreme than that of the Celica's. |

It's poorly proportioned and the front looks like this year's Jordan!
Garbage I say! I'll go for the Carrera GT! |

There's a fine line between agressive and hideously tacky. Like so many SUVs, the Enzo crosses that line.

Saw an Enzo today at the Ferrari dealer in Sydney. Yay! That thing has more presence than Catherine Bell lying naked on my bed!
