Well there is a saying that if a car looks fast it is. I think this livery is a huge improvement over last years. To my eye this looks like a race winning car

Not bad, Not bad at all.....

Not sure about the air intake though. It looks like someone has fitted a piece of drainpipe to the top of the car.

Perhaps my roof guttering wasnt blown away in the recent storm's after all.........

Now that is good, it has a visual tension about it. Now all it needs to be is fast.

I like it. Its not stylish, but its purposeful.

A nice touch is the white number on the black Rondel on the nose cone.

I might have left the biege off, but otherwise its great.

Yup a definite improvement on last year, they've got rid of those silly little silver patches around to cokpit.

the ugly stick strikes again. it's trying to be a williams and look all business like and stylish, but failing. badly.

What the 2000 Williams? Hey, that car looked good form the side; from head on; form the back and from the top, in fact it looked great form those angle. However, if you saw it form any slight angle the scheme fell apart and was not cohesive. The Macca livery is still the best of any by far.

This is only the 2001 livery on the 2000 car. Jacques shouldn't had crashed their first 003, coz they really are in big trouble for testing now.

It is a bit too white don't you think?

I'd agree actually Dino, there's a tremendous amount of blank white space on the livery. Plenty of gaping holes to fill with logos there. Im not sure about the white number on black backing though - might be a bit difficult to see.

I don't think I really like it very much to be honest - I'd heard that they were going to run in 555 blue, which would have been much nicer. Although I guess if the Subaru WRC team runs in that scheme, there's no need for two teams to be running in the same paint job. Shame.

I was hoping for the 555 livery but got the Lucky Strike livery. That's OK though because I still like it anyway. I prefer the coloured trim to the silver splashes and I do like the way the car number looks. Who cares if you can't see it, you can't read them on most cars anyway. Most of us identify by driver helmets don't we?

Beeing involved in Lucky Strike Branding of Promotional Materials in my markets I consider this example of branding to be very good one.

Not to be against looks et al, but remember how Hill waxed on about how " a lovely little number" his black Arrows looked....the proof will be in the pudding folks. (I say that despite hoping very much that it is more competitive that last years.)

Brain Storm

I just had a brain storm. You know those hologram things we have on our credit card that changes the picture when you look at it from different angles? Well, how about if they did the car with a hologram so that when you look at it from one angle it shows lucky strike, then as the car moves past, it changes to 555 colours. That would drive Murray totally around the bend.

Good one!
But seriously, a very well done, fast, clean modern paint job. Love it!

No, Tristan, I'm afraid you're wrong.
It looks a LOT like the last of the Tyrells!

What's next? A Hart Engine!?

the nose! everything about it.....astute thinking, people.

it's better than the 2001 williams. which is worse that the 2000 one, which i think was quite nice.

and there's nothing special and revolutionary on it. looks just like a mclaren. only slower.

I don't think we'll see a BAR in 555 livery, as it's too close to the Subaru WRC colours. Remember now that the blue/yellow is now just Subaru's, as 555 stopped sponsering the team 2 or 3 years ago.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who recognised the spooky resemblance to the '98 Tyrrell. Not bad, not bad at all.

You don't think that Stodart sold his old Tyrells to BAR to raise cash to buy Minardi?........Nah!! Couldn't be. Maybe he really does need some cash to get out of that Fondmetal syndrome!!
