Alpine Trial
Whilst all the rest of you are driving round in circles we will have four days in French Alps with two of those Talbot things.
Up and down mountains and all Pre War cars Ideal job for an old man. |

Nice work if you can get it
I've just been crawling round Ginettas and Tornados for the last few weeks and playing guitars in between. |

Gareth Burnett and Jez Haylock won event in one of those green Talbots and Michael Birch and I had an interesting run round the Alps in superb weather.
Great event run by ERA. |

Got a lot to do with Jez Haylock being one of top,if not the top ,historic navigator and we all know Gareth is brilliant in Pre war Sports Cars.
They only do one rally a year and have an eighty five per cent win rate. If Pace screw cars together well, which is normal, they take some beating . They have only lost two rallies, one due to sheep and other were testing new type gear bands without asbestos and it didn't work! Some of you racers would enjoy these historic rallies. ERA or Hero are good organisers. |
