Welcome to the ever so slightly mad world of marshalling.

I see by the list of venues that you are doing speed events (hill climbs and sprints) If you fancy doing any racing circuit marshalling then let me know and I can point you in the right direction (and by that I don't mean south on the M6 towards Oulton - before the p*** takers reply!!!)

What a scandalous remark. As if anyone on here would possibly say such a thing.

Just a quick word of advice LS, never be afraid to ask questions. Most of us, both on here and at the venues, can just about remember being a novice and knowing nothing.

So stay safe and enjoy.

p.s. Welcome!!

Don't forget that there is also racing at those two venues - bikes at Aintree, bikes & go-karts at Three Sisters.

There's usually a few ten-tenthers at Loton Park, on the hill & in the rescue unit. Look forward to meeting you there.

I was just thinking that. Self deprecating, and puts his honeymoon on hold to go marshalling. Sounds like an ideal recruit.

Have fun, stay safe.
