Geez Liz, using the "dumber than a fencepost/potential Arrows investor" was, I thought, a good bottom of the scale. By extension, the Tony George option would actually translate thusly: If Arrows investor = 0 on intelligence scale, then Tony George = some sort of negative number, right?
I will have to go for "smarter than Arrows drivers" as he was clever enough to get a job for a team that can afford an entire season! |

smarter than Michael, and a better driver. at least he doesn't have to resort to bashing people off and manipulating his team so that he wins every race irrespective of how well his team-mate is doing.

TG as the person who organized the USGP (which is the catalyst of the whole query, I thought.)

I dunno, Liz. TG gets led around on a leash by the Florida Mafia... Whether he knows it or not.
I'm tempted to go for "all of the above"... But I can't fault someone for _driving_ for Arrows... So long as they're not paying for their ride. I mean, a seat's a seat... At least Frenzten didn't have a contractual obligation forcing him to lose. Last edited by Lee Janotta; 2 Oct 2002 at 21:03. |

On the eve of the USGP each year, we draw slogans on our shirts with permanent markers to wear to the race on Sunday. (needless to say, there is usually a bit of going on...)
At any rate, one of my friends always sticks to a Tony George theme, originally 'TG sucks', last year 'TG still sucks', and this year "F#$% TG' (delicate, aren't we?) This year another friends shirt read 'why does Rubens always get the Fiat?' We were thrilled when the Fiat beat the Ferrari. And we all think Rubens is the smartest guy out there! |

At Le Mans we met some Germans over a number of pints and they said the only people they knew who didn't hold the Schumachers in contempt were people who knew nothing about racing. He also called TGF a w@nker but in German.
