I didn't, but surely this is against the rules ?
Incidently, I was recently at a club meeting where a race winner was disqualified for allegedly fitting some kind of switch between the brake pedal and the brake lights...! doh! |

Could a car be black flagged or penalised for this?

The incidence of secret switches being found against them being used is exceedingly low. Many have taken this path, switching the brake lights off in a tight dice to rattle the competitor... or put them off in some way.
On the other hand, one lurk that Peter Hopwood was going to try was a good one... He had just acquired the Capri V6 and was looking at the prospect of having the regular winner, Bo Seton, on his tail... the plan was, at the point when Seton would have been concentrating very hard on the back of Hopwood's car going into the hairpin at Amaroo, Peter was going to switch on the rear window wiper... |
