Shock adjusting /Understanding Data
Can any one help me with a good book, web site on 3/4 way shock adjusting and what to adjust for different handling issues and how the adjusters effect the car,. I have a pretty good understanding of how they work and have learnt alot with playing with them but some things still confuse me.
Also is there any books on how to interpert data loging and shock traces into what the car is doing and what to adjust. |

If you bought the shocks new, the manufacture will have that information

Data Power mentions nothing about shock tuning. You'd think it was written before linear potentiometers were thought of!

I have to confess I bought some two way adjusting shocks for one of my cars and I have not got much of a clue which way to go with the adjustment! I presently have them set 2/3rds to 1/3rd as recommended as a starting position but really dont know what way to go from there, too many knobs to fiddle with IMHO.

Copies of Data Power are rarer than rocking horse poo on the moon. There was talk of a re-write a couple of years ago but nothing has come of it that I know of. I scored a copy from a library and it did not impress me that much. Things have moved on from those days and the book has not. Can I post a link to another forum here? In some forums this is frowned upon.

The guys in this forum seem to have a fair degree of understanding on suspension stuff. I don't know if they have done any DA though.
