By the sound of it, the Camaro Cup in Sweden. If I remember correctly it's on the undercard of the Swedish Touring Car Championship.

Check out the car at www.camarocup.com (beware of Swedish language!)
Also, there is a short film from Camaro Cup with the current car at: http://www.agasam-film.com/86-2009-R...berg-good.html If NASCAR doesn´t use the Camaro for Nationwide (and Ford does use the Mustang) they are going to look baaad. |

It looks like there are 3rd and 4th generation Camaro based cars in the series at the moment - will this mean that there will be three categories of car next year? Also, what laptimes do these run compared to Carrera Cup cars?

Next year int will be both 4 & 5 and 2011 GEN5 only. On a mile and a half track, the Porsches are about 2 seconds faster – and 3 times more expensive... |

Origins of the 2010 Camaro Cup Car
If you look close at the pic you see a "Howe" decal. That the entire car and glass body was built by Howe Racing in Beaverton, Michigan. Nic Jonsson drove the test at the Autobahn track in Joliet. I know that the car was to be shipped to Sweden shortly after and there are more of these being built.
Howe also built cars for the DNRT V8 class in Holland and it may be the based on the same chassis. |

Wouldn't mind seeing those in the Canadian Tire series. The Camaro's are built in Oshawa after all.

Remember that they are road course cars, the Camaro Cup races in Sweden where there aren't any decent ovals (even so, they probably wouldn't race them on ovals).

CT Series by Nascar runs both Road and Oval circuits, can't see why these cars couldn't be setup to run both, although I agree its not likely to happen, unless they also appeared in the the Camping World series or such.

I prefer the looks of the Canadian Tire Series cars over this Camaro. Don't really like this Camaro.
I thought the Swedish Camaro Cup is using production based cars. |

The Swedish Camaro Cup car is based on a modified chassis and has a fibreglass body (no doors), although the engine is a ZZ4.
