Andrettifan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Any 1989 or 1990 BTCC photographs?

Was wondering if anyone has photos of the 1989 or 1990 BTCC racing available. Especially on the BMW M3 and Vauxhalls that competed in these two years of BTCC racing. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

1990 Donnington: Gerry Mahoney in the Arquati M3 leads the Sierra Sapphire of maybe Ray Bellm (not sure) and the RS500 of Sean Walker

I'm fairly sure it's Bellm in the Sapphire- I think the 'Hawaiian Tropic' sponsorship was his and had possibly gone from the car when Chris Hodgetts took it over in a few late-season rounds

There's some 1989/90 stuff in the Group A RS500, M3 and Starion threads, though the quality is a bit variable- (particularly if it's any of my poor photograhpy of the period...)

These pics are great, and thanks for such great response. Just wondering if anybody has any pics of Hugh Chalmers or Bill Hall 1990 BMW M3 BTCC racers. I have seen Hugh's pic in the Super Touring Years web site, but the car is shown only the front half. Any info would be great.

I seem to remember Mahoney could never get the motor in that things running right!!

Was always missing and dropping cylinders or was he just no good at driving small cars!!

I think I've already posted the few I've got, but I'll have a check just in case I've got any more I've forgotten about...

Much appreciated. After nearly 9 years of ownership I am still looking for a good quality original picture to put on the wall.
