A question to the rFactor experts...

...does the "PitStopStrategies" section in the gdb file really works ?

That's it for the AI drivers, both off and on-line.

I've googled and found in some forums that this should work, but I wasn't able to make it work both off and on-line...

Now there are some points that needs clarifying... the driver's name (as I read somewhere) must match the driver talent file - the filename or the inside info ? - or the info inside the VEH file ???? If so, which info should be considered since there are two info for driver's name inside the VEH file
Other, what settings should be in rFactor for this to be accomplished ?
It should be simple but actually I couldn't make it work...

well, my usual font of information is hiding from me for the time being, but as far as i understand it;

FORMAT
<driver name> = <# of stops> - <stop 1>,<stop2> etc

where ;
<driver name> = name of driver for car as stated by the 1st line of the talent file (not the name of the file itself)
<# of stops> = total number of stops that driver will make
<stop 1> = make first stop at end of lap x
<stop 2> = make second stop at end of lap x
etc etc

I'm not sure which mod you are using, but i'm guessing CTDPs F1 2007 as thats by far the most advanced where AI is concerned, and i don't have anything installed currently that uses these settings to test with. Theres some MAJOR limitations with this tho - the need for talent files for all drivers, rfm for the mod to have the correct path for said talent files, and most importantly the need to ensure you run a race with the right max laps compared to your strategies. If you run a 20 lap race but strats are set like in your example its going to be waaaaay off. ISI missed a trick there, they should have used percentage of race completed rather than lap numbers then it'd suit everything.

From what i've read people have had mixed results with this, but i think the talent / rfm / gdb link is a difficult one to grasp if its not been mostly done in the mod to start with, so its easy to get it wrong. Without testing it i'm only guessing, but editing the gdb is very likely to cause mismatches online too, so be warned!

Let me know what mod / tracks you are trying this with and i'll grab them and have a play about myself when i get chance

Well, actually I am using MMG 2007 server edition v1.0 with the tracks released by MMG for the mod, they are, Melbourne, Bahrain, Spain and Turkey, so far.
I am almost giving up with this whole damn thing...
