Cleaning plastic garage flooring?

Hi,

First post!

I am trying to find a good degreaser to clean our plastic garage flooring before the start of the season. Can anybody recommend any products and/or cleaning methods?

We are currently using a jet wash and yard broom but nothing is shifting!

Thanks.

Welcome to 10-10ths apeman.

There are plenty degreasers on the market made for anything from engines to driveways, they also generally split into solvent based or soap based. Can you be a little more specific about what sort of plastic the floor is made of and what sort of stuff you are trying to clean off.

You really need a good traffic film remover, such as those made by Nielsen, and a hot washer.

You have plastic flooring, so I don't know how this would work, but it's very cheap!
I had a layer of old, hardened oil on a concrete floor. Some white spirit and a hard brush loosened it, and then some sand mopped it up. Two applications and the floor is clean, although still stained.

You could use another less abrasive absorbent on plastic - cat litter??
