Rubens at Sebring?
Split from http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107565
Midweek Motorsport: Series 3 - Episode 40 (at 1h 44m) In this show also an interview with Gil de Ferran. What I already assumed it looks like Rubens Barrichello will drive for de Ferran at Sebring. Last edited by Adam43; 3 Dec 2008 at 20:36. |

Barrichello is trying to stay in F1, but it appears his chances of being hired by Honda or someone else are becoming slim.

If he gets no F1 seat he will probably race for de Ferran at Sebring.

Gil de Ferran races an Acura in the ALMS, not a Ferrari
Some confusion in there I guess... |

On hindsight, the way I responded was also a bit too chilly (I thought some f1-hooligan had created the thread, knowing nil about sportscar racing). I'm sorry for that |

It looks like Honda may sell their F1 team. Personnel have applied elsewhere according to this and various articles. Could this possibly mean Barrichello will drive more than Sebring? http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns21017.html

Whatever, I hope this happens. ex-F1 drivers in Sportscar racing is great. They have talent and it is fun to see them doing other things. The car is fun, the team should be welcoming to him, I bet he'll have a ball. |

Wasn't there a rumor of a 2nd de ferran car? Or was that before highcroft was announced as a 2nd team. I was just thinking that maybe Rubens could drive a 2nd car. Button's too young to make the switch from F1 to sports cars but who knows? We can dream can't we?
