Highlights of the Nissan Pulsar Series of 1985
It would be cool to be able to have this today, but manufacturer lines of support would likely prevent it |

David Brabham, Phil Brock, Mark Gibbs and Todd Wanless were some other notables who punted the Laser's around.
Pulsar series was a who's who of local talent at the time, as mentioned Bowe plus the likes of Richards, Johnson, Grice, Portman, Rogers & Masterton plus the likes of Seton and Peter McKay had a start too. Moffat and Ravaglia had a run at Bathurst in a support race in them too. |

Going back further you've got the Renault & Gemini series in the 70's and not forgetting the all female Mazda 121 series in more recent years.

Are the HQs still around? Or the break-away Kingswood series?
Or did all of that get gobbled up in the Saloon Cars movement? |

I think HQs are still strong at state level all over the country.

Amaroo Park ran a great series for Alfa Suds where we saw Tony Longhurst really kicking off his career complete with Dreamworld advertising ( the amusement park started by his father).

Was this the first Pulsar race?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0PzTynUm0w '84 AGP Meeting at Calder. Did this version of the Calder layout only last a few months before the esses were changed again? |

With a chook-lotto starting order, it could be a good thing.
That is of course, if Nissan is still willing to continue the V8SC program, or anything relating to it. |
