RIP Peter Williamson
I was saddened on to read Speedcafe that Peter Williamson had died aged 78.
http://www.speedcafe.com/2016/04/21/...lliamson-dies/ That Racecam footage of him almost stuck to the back of one of Ron Dickson's Camaros in the little Celica was fantastic |

Another sad day for Australian motorsport
Maybe the Bathurst council could replace 'his' tree at the cutting... |

And the radio ads his Toyota dealership did on Racing Radio 2KY..
"Nippon down to Peter Williamson Toyota Liverpool" said in a poor Asian accent... |

Loved the footage of him running into the back of the Camaro - "Get out of the way you big ......"

RIP Peter.
Absolutely the right person to carry the camera back in the day, hustled that little Toyota about and added quite a bit to the telecast for those at home. Vale |

You have to hand it to him, he drove the hell out of those little Toyotas and had as much fun or more than the guys at the front.

And I'll always remember the sight of a forlorn Peter slumped over his Supra after the startline prang at Bathurst in 1984.
He was a passionate racer and that one obviously hurt. Emotionally and financially... |

Not to mention the huge stack under the bridge at the end of Conrod in '86
