Roberto Angiolini of Jolly Club
Excuse the translation but worth noting thay a major figure in Italian motorspprt has also died.
Early April 2020, due to complications from covid-19 passed away Roberto Angiolini, head of Jolly Club racing team. * Founded by his father Mario in 1957, Jolly Club*competed longtime in the World Rally Championship in partnership with Lancia, also*having a brief foray into Formula 1 in the early 1970s with Silvio Moser's Bellasi-Ford and Loris Kessel's Apollon-Ford. Roberto Angiolini played a key role in promoting the careers of a number of young rally drivers, in Italy and abroad, including Dario Cerrato, Miki Biasion, Gianfranco Cunico, Alex Fiorio to name just a few. And also much success in ETCC with Alfa Romeo with the likes Lella Lombardi, Giorgio Francia and Rinaldo Drovandi. |
