BMW returns to F1
Red Bull and BMW are apparently entering into a partnership for BMW to supply PUs under the next set of regulations.
BMW spokesperson Josef 'Apollo' Rik is reported as claiming that under BMW's i brand, they are planning to return as a PU supplier in F1, starting with a deal to supply Red Bull's next unit. Dubbed the I-4 project, the PU is referred to as providing a new power 'generation lane' that BMW want to expand into, with hope that some of the technology will transfer to their road cars. Is this a story that will make any BMW fan's week? |

Hmmmm..".... dubbed the 1-4 project". I wonder if 1-4 is some sort of code for 1st April? But maybe its my naturally suspicious side taking over. |

BMW are only doing this because people prefer their works livery to Red Bull's livery

This is almost as believable as the 'Voltswagen' one that was 2 days early!

I saw a report that VW might have run afoul of US financial regulation with the "Voltswagon" stunt as it was just believable enough that it moved stock prices/manipulated the market. I can see in the future that large business will find that April 1st events are potentially risky actions and will be internally banned. I know that is a buzzkill, but don't do things like this that are just real enough to be believable.

Joe would've been on RB if BMW got involved.
