Russell. That was a solid drive and he has been consistent throughout the season so far, with a top 5 finish in every race.

More i watch him and the more he piles on the results, the more he looks like a WDC in waiting.

It could have been Verstappen. After all, what more could he have done? But I am so impressed with Gorgeous George this year so I gave it to him. He is consistently best-of-the-rest, beating the 7 time WC in the same car and making no mistakes.

Impressive spread of votes.

I am greatly impressed by what Russel delivers this year, but I'm not sure I ever saw him do much after qualifying well in this race. Lewis I felt did more of a clawing back to get the points, and was a good candidate for points. Gasly did well, but did not really make me cheer.

What did make me cheer was to see Seb start decently high up the grid, fight with the AT cars and made a sweet save and then finally get it done and steam on. It was entertaining in a classic street course which usually don't provide much. A vote for Sebastian Vettel, with Lewis and George close behind.

Russell - in a thoroughly dull race.

Verstappen did what he had to overcome Pérez, Gasly was very good (a return to form - Tsunoda had been showing him up a bit recently) and Russell was brilliant as he has been all season. I've probably already voted for him various times.

I'm going to say Vettel, as when you look at the gaps between team-mates, his was perhaps the biggest gulf to his team-mate (before Stroll's retirement). He also managed that despite that moment of running up the escape road. I was concerned that was it for him, as it looks like the rather error-strewn period of a few years back, but he spun it round brilliantly, got back on track without wiping out Tsunoda and delivered the goods. Pat on the back.
