FIASCC: 3 dates confirmed
June 29 - Monza (clashes with Donington FIA GT, but will NOT be a 1000k race)
August 10 - Donington August 31 - Spa (1000k race, with British GTs) So one of the date clashes has been confirmed - the least painful one it must be said. Looks like they are putting an effort into avoiding the others now. |

One question please Mr. Cybersdorf (im Übrigen schöne Grüße nach Wien!). As I noticed while reading the oschersleben-homepage, they plan a sportscar-day including Telefonica Series by Nissan (or Formula Nissan), Euro-GT and other series. Is it possible, one of these other series could be the FIA-SCC?
One of my wishes: FIA-SCC and Euro3000-Championship together. Could be great for a TV- Motorsportmag on Eurosport... |

FIA-SCC and EuroF3000 together would be great for both series.
but Spa race seems to be the best. 1000k race, with British GTs could be the FIASCC best race of the year. |

I don't think so, to be honest. The FIASCC already has a German date scheduled - they are supposed to be at the Nürburgring on the same weekend the GTs will be at Oschersleben. The most insane of all these many date clashes. Seems that work is going on behind the scenes to rectify that; but I reckon the sportscars will try and keep (or, revive) their traditional 'Ring race no matter what. Looks like it won't be the SCC, GTP, STT, or Divinol-Cup either. As for the historics, I don't know any calendars yet; I don't think the Gp.C and Supersports will go this far out of their way, though. Could be Radicals, or Caterhams, or some such; but in reality I don't know. |

Anyway, the Oschersleben- Event sounds strange. I think it is the joke of the year FIA-SCC and FIA-GT colliding in the same country...
And on the same weekend there is also a DTM race. What a joke... |

im hoping the 2004 racing schedule goes something like
March 12 hours Sebring April 1000km Nurburg May 1000km Spa June 24hours Le Mans July 1000km Monza August 1000km Jarama/Barcelona/Somewhere September 1000km Brands (thats just dreaming though) October Petit Le Mans Run *big* races and you'll attract big manufacturers, otherwise they're going to spend their time running 36 hour tests at Magny Cours instead of 2 hour sprint races. Thats assuming there's a rules commonality |
