Hayabusa Engine
How much power do you think you could get out of the hayabusa engine for road use without turbocharging? It would probably be for a caterham type chassis(probably Dax Rush) and I'd like it to be able to beat the R500

I think there used to be a place in the UK which was getting 220-240hp+,how much hp you want to get out of one depends on a lot of factors, like how long you want the engine to last, reliability factor etc.
I'd also consider the ZX12R as standard they have about 5hp more than the Housebus engine,I do some tyre work for the Quadzilla (Turbo Hayabusa quad)and they're pushing out 400hp+ dunno why it keeps breaking lol Last edited by Warwick; 23 Apr 2003 at 21:14. |

Try Powertec, they provide engines for Radicals, they're quoting 252bhp from a 1500cc busa.

There was a very neat bright Orangey yellow Peugeot 205 T16 look alike on the Abingdon Carnival rally last June with a Hayabusa engine. Bloody quick and the whole car has a serious amount of money spent on it. not seen it since.
