I should be there all weekend looking after a friend's Fiesta XR2 in the Stock Hatch class (Paul Haigh). He in turn is a mechanic for Dave Ward's Corsa so we'll no doubt get involved with that as well! Just as well Rob Gibson isn't out in the 6R4 otherwise we'd be really busy as he looks after that also....

Hi Danster, may see you as I tend to hang around Des Wheatly's bus, best windbreak at Croft! what is there on the Sat? I see theres no charge for spectating, is it just practice or are there heats as well?

I think Des usually parks next to Dave so come and say hello, If I'm not working on the car I'll be wearing a red Mitsubishi jacket. I don't know what's happening on Saturday, we're not leaving home till lunchtime so weather it's just supercar testing or something I don't know....

Do you know Michael Boak as well? He's got a MK1 Golf in the modified class and lives up your way somewhere.

As I happen to like Metro 6R4`s and RS200`s, hope you Croft regulars won`t mind if I head up the A1 to spectate this weekend?

PS does anyone know anything about rallying? I see there is an event in the Lake District on Saturday, that I might try to take in.

Any spectator tips?

It should be good.

10 supercars entered for the first round. disapointing modified entry though. It should be none stop action if racing doesnt start until 1 ish (practice at 12). And dont forget the return of the SUPERFINAL!!!! Twice the action!

Men and motors tv channel will show a preview of the first round on saturday. Each round of the championship will be shown as well on that tv station.

Full entry list on www.rallyracing.nl (news section)

Really hacked off. I was due to be there on the clerks team. Sadly I start a new job on Monday morning in London, and they wouldn't let me have the day off. I trust there will be full results on 10/10ths on Sunday evening please!!!!

Nothing. I write articles for it (Peter Grijmins is the web author and he covers the Belgium, Dutch and European rallycross events on the website) promoting the British championship, as well as cover every rallycross championship in the whole of Europe. It is done for the love of Rallycross, to provide up to date information

The event is the Malcolm Wilson Stages Rally (more details at http://www.malcolmwilson.co.uk/home.html)

Of the stages being run I'd recommend the Grizedale ones to see as they are amongst the classic RAC Rally stages (before the rally became the Tour of S. Wales it is now)

Thanks for the info. I ended up going to one of the stages that was used twice and got very wet. Still managed the wind at Croft the following day dried me out!

I noticed a few visitors to my site came from these boards so I have decided to drop in and have a look. I have pictures from Croft on Sunday and The Malcolm Wilson rally on Saturday (as Stephen H was asking)The site address should appear in my sig but as this is my first post I had better include it www.ianhardy.net and you will find the pictures under the motorsport section. Hope you enjoy them.

Cheers
Ian

Hi Peter
I was looking at your pictures on rallyracing.nl and noticed your picture of Pat Doran when he pulled of the course. I have one from the other side and wondered if you are one of the 2 photographers I got in shot?

Cheers
Ian
